About MiCSEF

The Milwaukee City Science and Engineering Fair (MiCSEF) is an annual event dedicated to promoting STEM education among high school students. MiCSEF provides a comprehensive, in-depth, and rigorous science fair experience for high school students. The fair serves as a gateway to state, national, and international science competitions. A key focus of the fair is increasing participation, opportunities, and mentorship for students from public schools in the city of Milwaukee.

The inaugural fair will take place on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 at Marquette University's Opus College of Engineering. The Winners of future fairs will advance to the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). In 2025, participation will be open to all high school students in Wisconsin, including those with access to a regional fair. This approach aims to encourage widespread participation and establish a strong foundation for future fairs.

Participation in the fair is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen resumes and college applications. Additionally, the rigorous and technical judging of the fair will provide excellent preparation for the Badger State Science and Engineering Fair the following week.
